Vertical test stand has been designed around the doctrine of ‘test as you fly’. The main fluid systems, fluid control devices, fittings, and pressure vessels, are in the same configuration as the 2% vehicle flight system. The VTS auxiliary systems to control valve actuation and remote nitrogen pressurization are intended to be used in both ground testing and launch support events. As a regulated pressure fed system, VTS includes 2 dome loaded pressure regulators, 7 pneumatic valves to remotely control its state, and various thermocouples and pressure transducers for data acquisition. VTS folds over with a hinge for servicing and for transportation comes apart between the liquid oxygen and kerosene tanks without disrupting more than two seals at a time.
